An inspection comes before a repair recommendation
Brake concerns can involve pads, rotors or other components, and similar symptoms can have different causes. Describe what you notice and when it occurs: during the first stop, after the vehicle warms up, while towing or at a particular speed. An inspection helps the advisor explain the findings and the work recommended for your vehicle.
What to tell your advisor
Mention squealing, grinding, vibration during braking, pulling, pedal changes or warning lights. Include recent brake work, wheel or tire changes, the vehicle’s mileage and any towing or hauling use. A useful description helps focus the inspection; a symptom alone does not establish which part needs replacement.
Review the repair estimate before work begins
Ask which components need attention, what measurements or findings support the recommendation, and what the estimate includes. Pads, rotors, hardware and other brake components vary by vehicle. Your advisor can explain parts choices and the scope of the proposed work. Paid repairs and additional diagnostics require separate approval; the free inspection is not a free repair.
Brake care for the vehicle you drive
We support Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners with maintenance and repair planning. A family SUV and a truck regularly used to tow may have different operating demands. Bring the VIN and service history, and discuss related tire and alignment concerns if the vehicle pulls or vibrates. If braking feels reduced or the vehicle does not feel safe, stop driving and contact the service team about safe transport.
Questions before your visit
Is the brake inspection really free?
Yes. Bonham Chrysler offers a free brake inspection. Any additional diagnosis, parts or repair work is quoted separately and requires approval.
How much does brake repair cost?
The price depends on the vehicle, findings, parts and repair scope. Ask for an itemized estimate after inspection. Paid service prices exclude tax, shop supplies where applicable, and disposal fees.
Does brake noise mean I need new brake pads?
Not necessarily. Noise alone does not identify the cause. Share when it happens and have the brakes inspected before choosing a repair.
Can you inspect brakes on a RAM work truck?
Yes. Include the truck’s VIN, mileage and towing or hauling use when scheduling. The team can review brake concerns along with other work-truck maintenance.
