Bonham Chrysler · Bonham, Texas
Compare the Durango by model year, engine, seat layout and towing equipment. Bonham Chrysler can help you evaluate an available SUV around your passengers, everyday cargo and actual trailer requirements.
Start with the number of people you carry, then measure your everyday cargo and identify your loaded trailer requirements. Compare the 2026 and 2027 engine choices separately. A high horsepower rating alone does not establish the selected SUV’s towing or payload allowance.
Use the inventory below as a starting point. Confirm the model year, VIN, equipment and availability before visiting. If your preferred configuration is not shown, ask the team for a current search.

| Configuration | Power and torque | Shopping focus |
|---|---|---|
| GT HEMI 5.7L V8 | 360 hp / 390 lb-ft | Check trailer equipment and whether Tow N Go is installed |
| R/T 392 6.4L V8 | 475 hp / 470 lb-ft | Compare performance equipment, tire costs and daily comfort |
| SRT Hellcat supercharged 6.2L V8 | 710 hp / 645 lb-ft | Review the complete ownership budget and installed equipment |
Model-year brochures, inventory and order availability can differ. This table identifies the 2027 HEMI choices; it is not a claim that every configuration is in Bonham inventory. Use the separate 2026 engine table below when considering a 2026 vehicle.
| 2026 engine / configuration | Published power | Maximum available towing |
|---|---|---|
| 3.6L Pentastar V6 | 295 hp / 260 lb-ft | Up to 6,200 lb |
| 5.7L HEMI V8 | 360 hp / 390 lb-ft | Up to 7,200 lb; up to 8,700 lb with the required Tow N Go configuration |
| 6.4L HEMI V8 / R/T 392 | 475 hp / 470 lb-ft | Up to 8,700 lb, properly equipped |
| Supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 / Hellcat | 710 hp / 645 lb-ft | Up to 8,700 lb, properly equipped |
These are separate maximum ratings for specified configurations, not a guarantee for the Durango pictured or any vehicle in inventory. Confirm the model year, drivetrain, axle, factory packages and hitch equipment. If you are shopping a 2027 or earlier used Durango, use that year’s documentation rather than this 2026 table.
GT-family choices, HEMI configurations, R/T 392 and Hellcat serve different priorities. Compare acquisition cost, fuel requirements, tires, insurance and the features you will actually use. More horsepower does not automatically mean more usable payload for your passengers and trailer.
Durango offers configurations with seating for up to seven. Count the seats in the selected SUV and compare second-row bench or captain’s-chair arrangements where offered. Try the route to the third row with your normal passengers and any child seats installed according to their instructions.
Dodge lists up to 85.1 cubic feet of maximum cargo space for the 2026 Durango with the relevant seats folded. That is not the luggage area behind an occupied third row. Bring your stroller, bags or sports equipment and test the space with the rows you plan to keep in use.
For another three-row SUV comparison, explore the Jeep Grand Cherokee L guide. Compare actual seat access, ride, equipment and VIN-specific towing capability instead of assuming the two SUVs solve the same needs.
Bring the loaded trailer weight, tongue weight, passengers and cargo plan. Check the owner’s manual, vehicle labels, hitch rating and all applicable limits together. Factory towing packages, wiring and other required equipment matter; a receiver alone does not establish maximum capability.
Tow N Go and other trailer-tow equipment are configuration-specific. Ask for the selected vehicle’s window sticker and towing documentation before relying on an 8,700-pound headline. The fully loaded SUV, trailer and combined vehicle-and-trailer weight must stay within their separate applicable ratings.
Review the window sticker before the drive and ask which driver-assistance features are standard or optional on that VIN. Test the controls, visibility, rear climate functions and seat operation you will use daily. Assistance systems have limitations and do not replace an attentive driver.

For a Durango, compare the complete written transaction before deciding. Request a written breakdown of vehicle price, applicable incentives, tax, title, registration, trade value and payoff, and any customer-chosen optional products. Bonham’s only dealer fee is a $225 documentary fee. Financing terms and incentive eligibility must be confirmed for your transaction.
Start with our trade appraisal and finance resources. Supply accurate mileage, condition and payoff information. Compare the selling price, trade equity, amount financed, APR, term and total payments; an online payment estimate is a planning tool, not a credit approval.
You can submit an order request for an eligible current configuration. We confirm order-bank status, allocation, equipment restrictions and written terms before treating it as an accepted factory order. A requested build or estimate is not a guaranteed production slot or delivery date.
Bonham does not add a dealer market adjustment to standard factory orders. Limited-production or special-allocation vehicles receive a separate written quote. Manufacturer sold-order price protection applies where eligible; confirm the protected terms in writing. At delivery, compare the protected eligible incentive program with the current eligible program and select the better applicable option; incompatible programs cannot simply be combined.
Bonham offers no-charge doorstep delivery up to 300 miles from Bonham; request a written quote for a farther address. The vehicle must be funded and insured before departure. Confirm timing, address and handoff details; this delivery program is separate from the manufacturer’s destination charge.
Plan maintenance through our Dodge service department, review current service offers and Mopar coupons, or request an appointment. Send your VIN, mileage and concern so the advisor can plan the visit.
Use the VIN recall check and Mopar parts and accessories resources when researching a specific vehicle. Our fluid-leak overview can help you describe a symptom; a technician must diagnose its cause. Follow the owner’s manual for your model year and powertrain instead of a generic mileage schedule.
Reviewed October 16, 2026 using model-year information from Dodge, Chrysler and Stellantis. Specifications and availability vary by year and configuration. The selected vehicle’s window sticker, labels and owner’s manual establish its equipment and operating limits. Ask Bonham for help comparing the exact vehicle.
Durango offers configurations with up to seven seats. The actual capacity depends on the seat layout and equipment. Count the seating positions in the selected SUV and test third-row access with your usual passengers before choosing a vehicle.
A second-row bench and available captain’s-chair arrangements change capacity and access. Equipment depends on year and configuration. Review the window sticker and physically check the seats, belts and access path; do not infer the layout from an exterior photo.
For 2026, Durango provides 17.2 cubic feet behind the third row, 43.3 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 85.1 cubic feet with the relevant seats folded. These figures describe different seating layouts. Try your regular luggage with the rows your passengers will use.
For 2026, Dodge lists a 3.6L V6, 5.7L HEMI V8, 6.4L HEMI V8 and supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 across different Durango configurations. Use the engine table above for 2026 figures; check separate manufacturer documentation for another year.
GT-family configurations, HEMI choices, R/T 392 and Hellcat differ in powertrain and equipment. Begin with passenger, cargo and towing needs, then compare the actual window stickers. Trim names and packages can change by model year.
AWD availability depends on the model year and trim; some configurations are offered with rear-wheel drive. Verify the drivetrain on the selected window sticker. Do not assume every Durango shown in a broad inventory search is AWD.
The 2026 lineup reaches up to 8,700 pounds in the required configurations. Other versions have lower ratings, including V6 and some 5.7L configurations. Check the year, engine and equipment, and verify the exact SUV against your fully loaded trailer.
Check the factory packages, hitch, wiring and any required towing equipment, then the manual’s trailer rating and vehicle, axle, combined-weight and hitch limits. Account for passengers, cargo and tongue weight. An installed receiver alone does not establish the advertised maximum.
Compare the Grand Cherokee L guide with the Durango configuration you are considering. Try third-row access, seats-up cargo room, ride and controls in both. If towing is involved, compare the ratings of the actual vehicles with the same loaded trailer.
Features vary by year, trim and package. Ask for the window sticker and a demonstration of the systems fitted to that VIN. Check their operating limitations in the manual, and do not assume a feature in a model advertisement is on every vehicle.
Try second- and third-row access, child-seat installation following the manuals, rear climate controls and cargo fit with the seats occupied. Check parking visibility and door clearance. Bring the items that make the difference for your family’s daily routine.
